Be travel ready

Before your clients take off this winter, Aer Lingus have shared some tried and tested winter travel hacks, to set them up for a stress-free winter adventure.

Beat the airport queues

No one wants to spend time in long queues at the airport. An easy way to avoid this is by checking in online. You can also pre-select your seats, which is especially important if you're travelling with family to ensure you're all seated together.

Once that's sorted, you can get your boarding pass before you even arrive at the airport. Taking bags? No problem, head to the bag drop area to drop these off.

Know your baggage allowance

Avoid any last-minute panic by knowing your baggage allowance. Check what bags are included in your booking through Manage Trip or our app, and if you need extra space, it's usually cheaper to add bags online than at the airport.

If your booking shows a 'checked' bag, make sure to drop it off at the Bag Drop area, to avoid unnecessary delays or fees at the gate.

Pack like a pro

Keep your essentials and medications handy in your carry-on or personal item bag. Roll your clothes instead of folding them to save space and reduce wrinkles, especially for bulky winter wear.

Prepare your documents

Don't forget to check your travel documents. Confirm your passport is valid and apply for any necessary visas.

Be sure to download or print your boarding pass in advance for a smooth trip through the airport.

Arrange special requests

If you need children's meals, special dietary meals or special assistance, please remember to request these at least 48 hours before travel, so everything is ready for your trip.

Early requests help us make sure you and your family have a seamless and comfortable journey.

Keep well

Remember to look after yourself by staying hydrated, dressing comfortably, and letting a staff member know if you feel unwell.

Don't forget an empty water bottle, so you can take advantage of the free drinking water stations.

Don't forget to relax

Know when you need to arrive at the airport, two hours before European flights, three for transatlantic. This gives you time to relax, grab a drink, a bite to eat and enjoy some pre-flight shopping.
